East Stroudsburg University holds its 25th Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

Students, staff and members of the community gathered virtually last night to honor his memory. ESU also used that time to announce several Boddie Scholarship recipients. One of the recipients says the scholarship is a huge relief for her and her family financially. She is using the scholarship to help pay for her spring and summer courses.

"The pandemic did take a very big toll on my family as far as our financials were concerned. The Boddie Scholarship really came in at the time that I needed it the most, and help me out as far as my bill, and paying everything else off that I needed personally," Shadè Stokes, said.

If you weren't able to tune in to the event, it's not too late to watch. You can still check it out and make a donation to the Boddie Scholarship by visiting ESU's website.
