Monroe County police officers are gearing up to give local kids a great Christmas, and you can help give to the cause this weekend.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department is holding the annual police escorted "Motorcycle, Jeep and Pickup Truck Run" on Saturday. It's in memory of officer J.J. Olsen along with other fallen first responders as part of the Olsen Christmas Wish. The funds will go toward Christmas gifts for underprivileged children.

"As first responders, we come across families every day that really just need a pick me up around Christmas time. It's a beautiful event and we're able to remember our fallen officers and first responders, and in the same token do somethings that's very positive for the community," Chris Shelly, Fundraiser Organizer, said.

The ride will start and end at Rudy's Tavern in East Stroudsburg. Registration will begin at 10 a.m.. The ride will be followed by live music and delicious food.
