It doesn't matter where you drive, there's pretty much always trash on the side of the road. The local Monroe County
Waste Authority is starting to stage litter cleanup days around the region, and they started today with Route 115 in Blakeslee.

In just a mile and a half stretch from interstate 80 and route 940, they collected 49 bags of trash, a dozen pieces of car, ten hubcaps, and one tire. They'll be doing a similar cleanup tomorrow (4/19) on Schaffers School House Road in Stroudsburg.

They urge any and all volunteers to call the Waste Authority and help out. They will provide cleanup crews with all the necessary materials to serve your community and make it look better.
