A Queens, New York man was driving on Route 715 in Reeders on April 3rd when he struck a tree. He had two passengers in his vehicle, and the one sitting in the back seat died on scene.
He admitted to police he was drinking, and the breath tester revealed a .17 blood alcohol content which is just over double the legal limit.
Rampersaud is facing four felony charges including vehicular homicide while driving under the influence and involuntary manslaughter. His bail was reduced to $150,000 and he had to turn in his passport.
