Senate Bill Two's purpose is to take money out of the public school system and give it to parents who want their children to receive a public education.

The money public school's get per student would be put into an education savings account for them to use on approved purchases such as private tuition, tutoring, special education services and more. All the money transfers would be made through the Treasury Department; cash would not ever be withdrawn

Stroudsburg Superintendent Cosmas Curry says taxes would have to be raised in order to pay for this, and that is not an option this school board is willing to choose in avoidable circumstances.
