Jock N Jill's, The Sarah Street Cafe, and The Hideaway have been shut down since April of this year due to structural deficiencies within the old Pocono Inne Town on 7th and Main Streets in Stroudsburg. The owner of all the ground-level businesses, Barry Lynch, is becoming frustrated because he was originally told he would only be out of business for six to seven weeks from the time he closed. It's now six months later, and it doesn't seem he'll be re-opening his businesses any time very soon. Lynch was told by the ownership of the entire building, DK Stroudsburg LLC, he would be opening up near the end of November. We reached out to a partner in the ownership group and he said he would not be available for comment until after the holidays. Stroudsburg Mayor Tarah Probst said the scaffolding is affecting local businesses and their commerce. The biggest concern is the pace of the construction. Both Lynch and Mayor Probst said they don't see much work going on for such a large project.
